In this short video we demonstrate a helpful technique to aid in changing the gear oil on the DP winches found on our heavy wreckers and rotators. This video is a last video in a three-part video series covering the DP Winches found on Century® and Vulcan® heavy-duty wreckers and rotators.
There are many processes that lead to manufacturing a quality wrecker, carrier, or rotator and one of those is the finish paint process. Here at Miller Industries we employ state-of-the-art finish paint facilities to ensure that our products have the highest quality paint applications available. In this short video we showcase the finish paint building located at our Ooltewah, TN facility.
In this video, our friends at TWG walk us through how to change the gear oil on the DP winches for Century and Vulcan heavy-duty wreckers. In this video, we also discuss the difference in oil reservoirs found on the 50k and 35k winches. We hope you find this video helpful. If you have more questions please reach out to one of our knowledgeable distributors.
Verifying the winch drag settings on your heavy-duty wrecker is an important maintenance item. Our friends at TWG helped us create this helpful video that outlines why drag settings are so important, and also demonstrates how to set the tension for both the DP 35,000 lb. and 50,000 lb. winches. In this video, we also clear up some common misconceptions around free-spool tension settings on our Century® and Vulcan® heavy-duty wreckers and explain the differences between how the 35k and 50k winches function internally.
We were so honored to be able to donate proceeds totaling over $10,000 to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners Hospitals provide specialized treatment for children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries, and other special healthcare needs. This donation comes at the close of the 2017 WeTow campaign hosted by us here at Miller Industries.
In this full-feature video our own Tom Luciano will demonstrate one way to tow a heavy trailer using the Century® or Vulcan® underlift cross bar, fork risers, king pin tow plate, safety chains, and our engineered tow chains with specially designed frame hooks.
We donated proceeds totaling over $10,000 to the Wall of the Fallen Survivor Fund. The Survivor Fund helps to support the families of towers who are killed in the line of duty. This cause is one that is close to our hearts here at Miller Industries because we have known many towers that have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Checking the tire pressure in your wrecker or rotator is a critical safety step. Ensuring proper tire pressure before a heavy tow could be the difference between a tire blowout and a successful tow. This video showcases the LED AirGuard® tire pressure monitoring system developed by Real Wheels, and exclusive to Miller Industries.
